Nail Down Application · Using Nailing Application Bamboo floor must be installed over the Wood sub-floors. Planks shall be started square with the room and parallel to its longest dimension, leaving " expansion space from base plate or wall. Ensure starter rows are firmly in place by wedging or face nailing. Once initial rows are secure, second and further courses shall be blind nailed directly above tongue at a 45-50 degree angle to the face. Fasteners shall be spaced at 10-12 inch intervals with a minimum of 2 fasteners per plank.

Caution · For Bamboo Flooring Installation strongly recommend Nail Down application. If Glue Down application has to be used, when floor condition is good enough, you should be very careful to prevent dropping glue on bamboo flooring. It is very hard to clean dropping glue on bamboo flooring, because some cleaning solvent may damage the pre-finished surface of the Floor. Warranty is in effect if products are installed in accordance with the Bamboo Floor Installation Instructions, using recommended adhesive for Glue down floors, and maintaining floor according to the Bamboo Floor care recommendations with proper humidity conditions that are maintained within the home.


The Refinishing · Bamboo flooring will take both dyes and stains very well. Therefore, bamboo flooring can be finished, refinished or repaired with any polyurethane or compatible coating. Bamboo flooring can be sanded like any other hardwood floor surface. Floor sanding involves using a special floor sander, edge sander, and possible a polisher with a disc attachment for holding sand paper. The techniques of the floor sanding and finishing require high skill and best result may be obtained by employing professional floor finishers.
